Expansion Presents Award-Winning Choreo-Poem ‘For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow
May 16-18 – Through powerful words, harmonious music and stunning movement, seven women tell their story of the love, passion, pain and struggle, which they endure on their quest for self-love and acceptance. The music, dance and direction of this production is spearheaded by noted local artists Alana Hill (producer/director), Omoro Omoighe choreographer) and Sarah Chilcote (musical director). Audience members are invited to attend a discussion group following the Saturday afternoon show, which will discuss the role of women (especially women of color) in today’s society.
