Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse
Fleming’s is actually a chain of steakhouses. This review will specifically refer to the one located at 1960 Chain Bridge Road in McLean, Virginia.
Cost – $$$
Service – A
The service was actually quite incredible. The waitress knew the menu back-and-forth and seemed to pop her head up at precisely the right time. The manager came over and made a polite (excessively formal) introduction, and even the busboys and valets were friendly and helpful.
Food – B+
I had a well-prepared ribeye steak with a side of creamed corn and my companion had the king crab and shrimp scampi. As the name of the restaurant would suggest, their focus is steaks and it showed. The seafood dish left a bit to be desired however. The waitress recommended a tasty Gewürztraminer but unfortunately the name escapes me right now.
Decor – B+
There is nothing that particularly sticks out about the interior of Fleming’s really. They have ample booth seating, which is nice. They do a good job with the lighting as well, to create a sense of intimacy even though the place is regularly filled up.
Feel – A-
You wouldn’t go there with your buddies but for a nice place to have a good dinner and a great experience in Northern Virginia with someone special, Fleming’s is certainly a good option.
