Mie N Yu

For a long time the nightlife in Georgetown was pretty one-dimensional: it was primarily bars and sports clubs tailored to meet the needs of Georgetown students who wanted to wear flip-flops, t-shirts and white three-bar hats out to the bar. Then Mie N Yu popped up and changed the dynamics considerably. With an uber-cool global decor filled with lounge music it attracted a well-dressed sophisticated clientele that continues to this day.

Service – B+
The service is pretty solid at Mie N Yu. I’ve never actually eaten at the restaurant but have always been pretty happy with the service I’ve received at the door and at the bar.

Decor – A
A great deal of time and effort has been put into furnishing and decorating Mie N Yu and it shows.   It has an exotic, lounge feel that is second-to-none in the area.

Feel – B+
Mie N Yu is fundamentally different from most places in Georgetown. It attracts a more sophisticated, diverse crowd than your typical Georgetown bar and is a great destination for both large and small groups of people seeking a night out on the town.
